Our previous house was built by Lane Myers Construction. It was just a simple spec home, nothing you'd see in the Parade of Homes. I felt lucky to have such a well built home back then, but never dreamed that we'd be able to afford having our own custom home built by Lanes team. I'm amazed that it was as affordable to build as it is to buy, even in this market. It was a no brainer: we can build just what we want for about the same price.

I am the president of Free and Associates, a real estate appraisal company with three offices in the State of Utah. I have also, over the years, developed and bought or have major ownership in 12 self storage facilities. Over a long period of time, I have met a large number of general contractors and home builders.

When my wife and I decided to build a new home in Draper, I found it hard to make a decision on the contractors and home builders because of all the contacts I have made in the industry. Jared has good skill of details of quality and design that make a home unique and interesting. Although my wife and I have a designer, Jared has an excellent feel for what works best and can get it done at a reasonable price.

When my husband and I first decided to build our new house I called Lane Myers Construction, not for him to build, but to ask who had designed a home that he built in my neighborhood. I thought Lane's construction company would be too expensive, so I didn't even give them a chance to bid my project. He was great and gave me the number to Michelle Marriott of Freedom Designs, who designed us a home that is unique and perfect for our needs.

My husband and I contracted our previous home ourselves, but this time around we wanted to hire a contractor for a streamlined and less stressful project. When negotiations broke down with the builder I originally chose instead of Lane Myers we decided it was time to see if he could work with our small budget. They accommodated my schedule and met with me right away. Lane explained to us that high quality workmanship can still be achieved with a small budget when you make thoughtful choices.

We ultimately decided they were the right team to build our home. All along the build project, we and my new neighbors have been impressed at how quickly the Lane Myers Construction team has come in and gotten the job done and how clean the subcontractors have kept our site. Together his team and my family are working to create a home we can all be proud, and within my budget constraints.

I want to take a moment and personally thank you and your staff for a job well done. In an industry where it is standard practice to cut corners, use sub-par material, and many other tactics just to make a few extra $$ on a project, you proved to me that your integrity is not for sale!!!
